We request before you submit a new idea, you search if a similar idea already exists on the board. You can do this by typing your idea query into 'search all ideas' in the search bar. This will display all ideas in the ideas board matching your search, and If you find a similar idea already exists, add a comment to the Idea and join the conversation.
When drafting a new idea or suggestion, we request you answer these questions as part of your submission, so everyone has context and understand your request:
The problem - What's the problem or need? What's the outcome you're looking for?
The benefit - How does addressing this need reduce your pain or create a gain for you?
The solution - How do you see this issue being resolved?
Submitting an idea is easy; click the '+ Add a new idea' button on the top left corner. Type in the description of the Idea in the 'Please add more details section' and summarize your Idea under 'Your idea'. Ideas without a description or a one-liner usually generate more questions than conveying what's required. Picking a category for your Idea is optional. We'll update the category for you if left blank or better with a different category.
Start by logging in with the same email address from the previous idea portal (roadmap.gluh.co). If you're logging in for the first time, use the "Forgot password" option. To Sign up, get started with your email address and follow the prompts.
Having the correct detail on your Idea or suggestion allows the Commerce product team to review without any delay.
Every new Idea that is submitted will go through the following process:
Check for completeness so partner problem, need and benefit to partner are clear
Where no 1 is not clear, Product Manager follows up with the relevant partner or internal stakeholder to seek clarification
Idea re-categorisation occurs as required
A duplicate check is conducted, and ideas are merged accordingly
Upon completion of the above steps, Ideas from partners are made visible on the ideas board
Ideas from internal stakeholders are evaluated and made public on a case-by-case basis
We aim to review your newly submitted ideas within 10 business days. Votes are a good indication for us to evaluate the need(ask) and impact of an idea for existing ideas. However, votes are not the only metric that we monitor to determine if and when an idea is approved to be on the Roadmap and subsequently developed as a feature.
